Digital service specialist company HIVELAB announced on August 7 that it had successfully carried out the AWS infrastructure optimization project of the NC Cultural Foundation. This project was conducted for about two months and was promoted with the goal of efficiency in cloud infrastructure operation and strengthening service stability.

This optimization was conducted by inspecting and redesigning the overall AWS environment of major services operated by the NC Cultural Foundation, such as the homepage, ‘Projectory’, ‘MyAAC’, and ‘FAIR AI’. HIVELAB diagnosed the traffic patterns and resource utilization of each service, checked the security system, and refined the architecture and operation processes according to the workloads.

The key improvement items are as follows:

Resource resizing and advancement of auto-scaling: Optimization of server/DB specifications, refinement of elastic expansion policy

Improvement of deployment and monitoring system: Redefinition of monitoring/alert indicators, organization of deployment pipeline to strengthen failure response capability

Strengthening of security: Improvement of access control, log/audit system, etc. to raise the level of security operation

Establishment of cloud cost governance: Establishment of reasonable cost structure through standardization of tagging, setting of budget/alert rules, and removal of unnecessary resources

A HIVELAB representative stated, “This project was not just about reducing resources, but about simultaneously strengthening operational efficiency, stability, security, and cost management.
